Dr. Alina Mier y Terán is from the San Diego/Tijuana region. She graduated from USD with a BS in Biology with a minor in Theology. She then graduated from UC Davis with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She has spent 23 years in veterinary medicine and feels immensely blessed to be doing what she loves by helping animals. She feels as though they help her even more than she helps them.
Dr. Mier y Terán and her husband have two sons, Santiago and Rodrigo, and two dogs, Nelson, a golden doodle, and Frida, a cute rescue mutt from Tijuana. In her spare time, she loves to cook, bake, travel, and dance.
